Off Road Racing In Beautiful Baja!

Off Road Racing is a major sport all over the world, however it seems to come to life in a very special way in the beautiful desert of Baja California.

Throughout the year, there are so many different Off Road races that occur in Baja, including the San Felipe 250, the CODE 200, The RECORD 250, the Baja 500, and of course the Baja 1000 which is one of the most difficult races on the planet.

For people who have never experienced Off Road racing, I urge you to attend your first race. Make sure to come a day or two early and attend the festivities that happen before each race. This is called the "Contingency". This is where the drivers and their support teams parade through the streets of the city that hosts the starting line. This is a party you do not want to miss.

Then of course, the start of any race is full of heart pounding excitement. All the preparation and pre-running that has occurred up to this point is unleashed in a systematic release of cars based upon their standings and racing history in the community.

Next you will want to travel into the specific course itself, to watch the cars as they race by at speeds that will be sure to make your heart pump quickly. Make sure to bring plenty of food and cool beverages and of course some type of shade as the desert will undoubtedly be HOT!

Finally, work your way to the finish line where the cars will make their way in and then the after party will begin.

Off Road Racing is a wonderful sport to enjoy and there is no better location to do so than in beautiful Baja.
